Orthodontics Are Ideal for Adults Looking to Improve Their Bite and Smile

Contrary to popular belief, orthodontics is not just for children. In fact, we treat adults on a regular basis.  If you have always wanted to straighten your teeth but have avoided orthodontics care because you thought the process would take too long or look too obvious, give us a call.  Technology has improved and metal braces are smaller than ever.  They can complete treatments much faster than in years past with some treatments only taking six months.  Additionally, many of our adult patients prefer to wear clear aligners since they can straighten teeth discreetly.  The options are vast and diverse so if you have not been to an orthodontist in a while, now is an excellent time to schedule an appointment to discuss how your smile can be improved.

We will take the time to sit down with you and discuss the goals that you have for your smile.  We can talk about your lifestyle, what your routine is, and help you to determine which treatment solution would best fit within it.  Our goal is to provide you with a solution that works for you on a daily basis and we are confident in our ability to do so.

Orthodontics can be used in cases where the bite is badly misaligned.

If your bite is misaligned, we can help.  An overbite, underbite, and crossbite can all negatively impact your facial structure and appearance.  If you do not like your general appearance, this can be why.  Many of our patients are shocked to see how much better they look after their bite has been aligned.  In addition to your appearance, aligning your bite can eliminate some of the jaw and face pain that you could be experiencing.  It will also prevent unnecessary wear on your teeth.  Our treatment plans include using clear aligners, braces and bands or referring you for oral surgery.  Which option is right for you can only be determined following a comprehensive exam where we also take x-rays.  For this reason, we encourage you to schedule a consultation.

If you have complex issues, orthodontics can still help.

Even if you have complicated issues like gaps in between your teeth, others that are crooked, a bite that is misaligned and impacted wisdom teeth – we can help.  We can even treat you if you have experienced some adult tooth loss.  There are few, if any, health conditions that will preclude you from receiving orthodontic care.  There are times where you will need additional steps in the process or when we will also work with other specialist but at the end of the treatment process, your smile will be beautiful.  An example is if you are missing a tooth.  When this happens, the other teeth tend to move out of position and crowd the space that the tooth used to occupy.  Before it can be replaced, we need to make space for it again.  This can be accomplished with orthodontics so that your tooth can be replaced as part of your treatment plan.  For more information on this or our other procedures, call and schedule a consultation.
